Lori Norden Hurt

After Graduating from Nursing School I packed up my Ford Falcon and moved south.
I worked at The University of Virginia, in Charlottesville as a Pediatric Nurse for 9 years, then switched to Maternity/ Newborn Nursery for a "change".
After swearing I would never, ever marry a Doctor, I fell in love with a Medical Student in 1977 and we have been happily married for 30 years. We moved to Roanoke Virginia for a year while he was Chief Resident and I worked in Newborn Intensive Care.
From there we moved to Martinsville Virginia and raised our two daughters.
Now I spend my days tending my gardens,
making jewelry, throwing tennis balls for our three Golden Retrievers and volunteering for the local Cancer Society. In 2002 I was diagnosed with a very
rare form of Cancer (my slides are shown to patholgists all over the world)but i'm happy to report that I remain Cancer free and intend to keep it that way.



Life is good.

I basically lived in Mr. Jennings darkroom.

Slipping and sliding down the hill on my rear in winter to catch the school bus, and hearing applause and laughter when I made it.

The blue ravioli party at Glenn's, riding donkey's with Suki Beeh, driving through the woods in Matt M.'s VW on Senior Skip Day...all good memories
